Job summary

A compliance-focused technology organization in Malaysia is seeking a Sustainability & Compliance Executive to develop and implement compliance programs ensuring adherence to laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in compliance or sustainability. Responsibilities include conducting audits, preparing reports, and leading sustainability projects. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, along with strong analytical skills.

Job description
Sustainability & Compliance Executive (5-Day Work Week)

Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance and sustainability programs, recommending improvements as necessary.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure integration of sustainability practices across the organization.

Prepare and present reports on compliance and sustainability performance monthly.

Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes, providing guidance and training to staff as needed.

Lead and participate in sustainability projects, promoting environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

Assist Management in the ESG implementation and assess the procedures to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of the initiative.

Assist Management in the review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or other policies to ensure the effectiveness of control.

Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and community organizations.

Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as directed by the superior to support departmental or organizational objectives.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility (CSR), ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 or a related field.

Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks e.g GRI, TCFD, BURSA, GHG Protocol, SASB).

Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the industry.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Certified competent person for CePSWaM or/and CePBFO is an added advantage.
