Job description

The Impact You’ll Make

As a Facilities Services Supervisor at Lam, you will lead the facilities operations team and manage repair and maintenance work assignments for outsourced service providers and contractors performing facilities operations, air conditioning repairs and maintenance, building maintenance, manufacturing cleanroom services, janitorial, and landscaping work. You will review work orders to ensure that assignments are completed. You will coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activities to deliver facilities operational excellence to established service level agreements within budget. You may have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. You will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What You’ll Do

Leads the facilities operations team and manages repair and maintenance work assignments for outsourced service providers and contractors performing facilities operations, air conditioning repairs and maintenance, building maintenance, manufacturing cleanroom services, janitorial, and landscaping work. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed. Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activities to deliver facilities operational excellence to established service level agreements within budget.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manages vendor relationships and ensures vendor performance to facilities operations requirements.
  2. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
  3. Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports. Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for facility service and small projects. Prepares operating budget and variance reports. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
  4. Provides formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, and corrective action. Prepares and delivers performance appraisals for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with company values.
Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years facilities management experience in a position with direct management responsibility for the performance of outsourced facility service providers.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong management and organizational skills.
