Job summary

Kerry is recruiting a Supply Planning Lead to drive end-to-end supply planning across procurement, manufacturing and commercial teams from Petaling Jaya.

You will oversee inventory performance, KPIs, and the planning team, ensuring OTIF and optimized stock levels while partnering with demand, sales and finance.

Typically 7+ years in supply chain, FMCG experience, SAP and Excel proficiency are required, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and CPIM/CSCP advantageous.

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years in supply chain or planning roles, with exposure to FMCG or food industry environments.
• Proven track record in managing supply planning processes, inventory performance, and S&OP/S&OE governance.
• Experience in leading teams and driving process improvements in a centralized or regional planning model.
• Familiarity with global supply chain operations and multi-site coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP) are advantageous.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel/data analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of planning principles, KPI frameworks, and operational excellence methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supply Planning team and act as expert to influence across functions.
• Own end-to-end supply planning and SAP-based network plan.
• Align with demand, customer management, sales, and finance for replenishment plans.
• Manage aging finished goods and inventory control tower.
• Ensure OTIF and service objectives are met.

About The Role

The Supply Planning Lead drives accurate end‑to‑end supply planning, ensuring strong alignment across procurement, manufacturing, and commercial teams. The role oversees inventory performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement while leading the planning team.

Key responsibilities

• The Supply Planner is responsible for the area of Supply Planning within the Supply Chain function at plant level, including
• Responsible for the leadership and management of the Supply Planning team, as the expert on supply planning to influence team members in & outside of supply chain function fostering a high performing collaborative team and efficient work environment.
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the Supply Planner responsibilities as per below;
• Responsible for utilizing the commercial depletion demand signal, on-hand inventory, and inventory targets with DC replenishment requirements. Enable & deliver a comprehensive network supply plan within SAP which meet all financial requirements, operational capabilities, and service objectives including OTIF.
• Communicate and interact with demand planners, customer management, supply planners, sales, and finance to provide distributor and replenishment plans and exception-based reporting for assigned BU (Customer PSI and predictive OTIF reports). Make recommendations on actions needed to meet actual and forecasted demand.
• Responsible for reviewing that the system generated planned order generations align and are correctly converted to process orders within downstream PPDS process.
• Responsible for generating supply plans and dispatching materials to our third party manufactures to ensure service to our customers.
• Responsible for managing aging finished goods as part of Kerry’s inventory control tower process and partners with commercial, demand planning, and senior supply chain stakeholders to reduce risk and prevent reoccurrence.
• Review MTO/ATO demand vs MTS demand within the master production schedule to ensure a balanced achievable plan is generated.
• Provide leadership to monitor and improve key metrics. i.e., on-time delivery, inventory efficiency. Responsible for the lean initiatives from a planning perspective to ensure the broad goal of overall supply chain is benefiting from the improvements.
• Build and maintain communication channels among all operational groups within the Supply Chain through information sharing, thought leadership, and tactical and strategic planning.
