Job summary

Kerry Group in Malaysia seeks a Supply Planner to manage inventory levels and ensure service targets while balancing working capital. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to secure timely availability of inventory for manufactured and imported goods across the country, supporting the Supply Planning Manager to drive KPI performance.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in supply planning or production planning within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience managing inventory, replenishment planning and production scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive supply plan by leveraging signals, inventory positions, target stock levels and DC replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Commercial, Customer Service, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teams for replenishment plans and reporting.
  • Translate demand into actionable supply plans and identify risks, proposing mitigation actions.
  • Review and validate system-generated planned orders for alignment with production requirements.
  • Manage supply planning for third-party manufacturers to meet demand and service expectations.
  • Monitor aging finished goods inventory and drive actions to minimize risk.
  • Balance MTS, ATO and MTO within the Master Production Schedule for optimized planning.
  • Analyze inventory levels, constraints and capacity to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support monthly S&OP and supply review with insights and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive adherence to planning processes and master data governance.

The Supply Planner will be responsible for the planning and management of inventory levels in a way that is effective in meeting customer service levels whilst taking into account overall supply chain efficiencies and working capital targets. Be required to work with internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely availability of inventory for manufactured and imported/locally traded finished goods to meet customer demand nationally and to support the Supply Planning Manager in monitoring performance of the relevant key performance indicators and developing action plans with key parties to ensure performance targets are met.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive supply plan by leveraging commercial demand signals, inventory positions, target stock levels, and distribution center replenishment requirements. Ensure plans meet service, operational, and financial objectives, including OTIF (On Time In Full) performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Commercial, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to provide replenishment plans, customer PSI reporting, predictive OTIF reporting, and exception management for the assigned business unit.
  • Translate demand requirements into actionable supply plans and proactively identify potential supply risks, making recommendations to mitigate service disruptions and inventory challenges.
  • Review and validate system-generated planned orders to ensure alignment with production requirements and successful conversion into process orders within the detailed production scheduling horizon.
  • Manage supply planning activities for third-party manufacturers, ensuring production and material availability plans support customer demand and service expectations.
  • Monitor and manage aging finished goods inventory, partnering with Commercial, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain stakeholders to minimize inventory risks, drive corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Balance Make-to-Stock (MTS), Assemble-to-Order (ATO), and Make-to-Order (MTO) demand requirements within the Master Production Schedule to ensure an achievable and optimized supply plan.
  • Analyze inventory levels, supply constraints, and capacity utilization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced service performance.
  • Support monthly S&OP and supply review processes by providing supply planning insights, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Drive adherence to planning processes, systems, and master data governance to ensure planning accuracy, reliability, and business continuity.
About you
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience managing inventory, replenishment planning, and production scheduling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
