POSITION SUMMARY:

This position shall be responsible for ensuring successful performance of the supply and delivery chain for assigned portfolio of products within the region as part of Market Planning Hub (MPH). The incumbent will participate in market forums as MPH point of contact for assigned portfolio.

  • Accountable for Supply Assurance of assigned product portfolio
  • Accountable for Inventory planning and coordination of inventory deployment for assigned product portfolio
  • Support completion of Product change lifecycle management activities requiring supply input
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Manufacturing Sites, serving as point of contact to clarify any queries or action plans related to assigned products
  • Support Supply Planning Manager to drive resolution of escalated issues
  • Participate in MPH-Market Demand and Supply Review Meetings

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Assurance (for assigned product portfolio)

  • Continuously monitor and ensure product supply of assigned product portfolio to represented markets
  • Proactively identify supply risks by updating supply outlook and escalate risks to Supply Manager
  • Communicate to resolve supply issues with stakeholders using standard processes (e.g. e-alerts, weekly calls with market/plants)
  • Proactively understand demand drivers and supply implications from forecast changes and proposed transportation mode changes

Inventory management and deployment

  • Analyze inventory performance versus budget and develop action plans to achieve targets
  • Perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs. targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans
  • Minimize inventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs

Product change management (for assigned product portfolio)

  • Proactively and continuously support product change activities (line extensions, artwork changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc.) securing achievement of business objectives, service levels, costs, and working capital requirements

Point of contact for Sites

  • Serve as point of contact to manufacturing sites for any questions related to supply issues, resolution plans, inventory for assigned set of products

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management
  • APICS training/ certification preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1-2 years working experience in Supply Chain related fields, preferably in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry

Preferred Technical skills:

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends, and regulatory processes
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end-to-end global product flows
  • Knowledge of market practices, local logistics, and market business environment
  • Experience participating in ERP/System implementations

Preferred Key capabilities

  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand complex situations involving many moving parts
  • Expertise in using and leveraging ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., Rapid Response, Business Intelligence tools)
  • Analytical skills to observe patterns and trends, determine root causes, and draw conclusions
  • Decision-making ability based on analysis, experience, and judgment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships across geographies and organizational levels
  • Ability to prioritize within a portfolio
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement at different levels
