Position Summary

The Supply Modeler defines planning and optimization strategies related to model performance, designs and deploys new functionalities, and updates the Supply Model strategy based on stakeholder requirements. The role involves regularly updating and evaluating supply network models for data-driven improvements and adaptability in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess the current supply network, understand business objectives, and design strategies to model and optimize the supply chain.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders such as Concurrent Planners, Manufacturing, Inventory Analysts, and Distribution teams to define business requirements and success criteria, reflecting these in strategy templates based on market conditions.
  3. Translate business needs into mathematical or heuristic models.
  4. Use modeling and simulation tools to update parameters like costs and penalties to align with business goals, and test the supply network model.
  5. Perform regular performance evaluations to ensure models remain effective and adapt to market changes, providing feedback for governance meetings.
  6. Incorporate risk management strategies and develop contingency plans within supply chain modeling.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or Economics
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Research, or Industrial Engineering
  • At least 4 years of experience in supply planning, with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and strategic planning abilities
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply modeling, proficient in modeling techniques, simulation tools, and data analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, skilled in handling large datasets for insights and decision support
