Job description

Summary

Responsible for driving and managing demand and supply planning processes, coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Accountable for the timely implementation of all Life Cycle projects such as launches, changes, transfers, and divestments by coordinating involved stakeholders across functions. Ensures compliance with Regulatory and GxPs, law, SOPs, HSE, and the Code of Conduct.

About The Role
Major accountabilities:
  1. Driving and managing the S&OP process to ensure consensus demand forecasts and an optimized supply plan to meet customer requirements.
  2. Creating and managing supply plans to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Collaborating with Global & Regional supply chain teams to address and resolve supply constraints.
  3. Owning planning parameters in ERP systems and maintaining up-to-date SKU-level assortment for assigned brands.
  4. Monitoring and analyzing demand and supply performance metrics; leading action plans to meet performance targets and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Providing stakeholders and customers with clear visibility of the current supply plan and monitoring delivery commitments regarding quantities and timelines. Managing backlog and backorders, ensuring communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Ensuring the timely implementation of Life Cycle projects through stakeholder coordination. Collaborating with Business Units, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance on regulatory changes.
  7. Supporting BD&L partners in establishing a robust S&OP process for BD&L portfolios.
  8. Preparing and submitting supply chain reports. Performing NFCM sample testing and annual review.
  9. Supporting strategic and operational supply chain initiatives aligned with Novartis Technical Operations strategy.
  10. Serving as Subject Matter Expert in assigned areas, supporting data collection and KPI reporting.
  11. Performing other duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators
  1. Inventory management, gap analysis, cost efficiency, and process effectiveness, including KPI metrics such as data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  2. Timely, complete delivery of business essentials — including budgets and quality compliance — and Customer Service Level (e.g., OTIF).
