Job description
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations and are completed within given timelines effectively.
  • Initiate, implement, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
  • Monitors and controls all the warehousing and distribution activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy and meeting the required lead-time.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly. (GIT report, aging stock report, OOS report etc.)
  • Storage arrangement and safekeeping of goods.
  • Responsible for the overall cost and budgeting of the operations.
  • Liaises and coordinates with any kind other third-party suppliers (transporters, contractors and others) in meeting operation needs.

B. Process and System Control

  • Take charge of stock control and warehouse organization. Ensure all inventories on hand are handle properly in the system throughout the reconciliation process and month-end closing.
  • Effective management of stock including return stock, dead & slow moving stock, damaged stock, as well as effective stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely, including warehouse system updating.

C. People Management and Development

  • Manage the team through effective planning, organizing and controlling of work schedule and headcount mobilization.
  • Lead the team in achieving and maintaining accuracy, upkeep, and quality of complete warehouse & logistic operations.
  • Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce.

D. Supply Chain/Procurement

  • Manage the procurement and purchasing activities of the company while also providing product support and expertise to internal teams.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and reliability.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams regarding product-related inquiries, technical issues, and support.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing to ensure alignment on product specifications, pricing strategies, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of all invoices, delivery order and related documents to Finance Department.
  • Handle other ad-hoc matters from time to time assigned by superior.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Executive specialized in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent.
  • Working experience in manufacturing industry or related field will be added advantage.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
