Job description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team at WAKOMAS Chemical Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of our products to our customers. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic goals of our company.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction

Manage the sale, logistics, and distribution processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products

Supervising, executing and coordinating the department’s overall operational activities for international and domestic markets in respect of execution of sales contracts, ensuring contractual obligations and documentation are timely and met with minimal cost & exposures.

To be a resource person on transportation (shipping & inland) and storage (warehousing & storage tank).

To lead feasibility studies and evaluate logistics & storage data, and provide the best options

Lead in the development of the company’s logistics information database.

Manage contracts with all third-party logistics & service providers.

To lead in the development and implementation of systems and processes to support efficient logistics activities with proper checks in place

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain challenges

Analyse supply chain data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions

Oversee the inventory and warehouse management system

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners

Provide regular reports and updates to management on supply chain performance

What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years of experience in a supply chain management or logistics role, preferably in the chemical industry or an international trading company

Strong understanding of supply chain processes including logistics management, distribution and understanding of Letters of Credit

Having excellent knowledge of local and international trade with consistent application of INCOTERM 2020

Proficient in using any ERP system or supply chain management system.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

Excellent team management skills to oversee and manage a team of 8 within the Supply Chain Department.

Strong project management and organisational skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
