Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support (DevOps) our supply chain planning systems to ensure smooth integration with the new ERP system in S/4 HANA environment (Project NGBA), including activities such as:
  • Training to understand BASF Supply Chain Planning processes/solutions in APO, IBP, and OMP, and skill development in S&OP and Supply Planning processes, frameworks, and technical setups;
  • Coordinating the interface switch between BASF Supply Chain Planning solutions and the core ERP system from ECC to S/4 HANA (Project NGBA) on behalf of the S&OP and Supply Planning Team;
  • Designing and deploying S&OP and Supply Planning processes and technical solutions across business units regionally and globally, collaborating with supply chain and commercial stakeholders;
  • Working in an agile environment within a global S&OP and Supply Planning squad, learning through shadowing, managing system development, and providing ongoing support;
  • Handling user stories, change requests, and self-organized tasks within development squads;
  • Ensuring system readiness for interfaces with BW and MABAS, and integration between current Supply Chain solutions and S/4 HANA;
  • Defining data structures, processes, and interfaces for S&OP and Supply Planning, including migration from ECC to S/4 HANA;
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to redesign processes and ensure smooth transition and integration;
  • Developing solutions for interface issues post-S/4 HANA go-live;
  • Conducting testing in DEV & ACC environments, supporting cutover activities, and evaluating system performance;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields;
  • At least 5 years of supply chain planning experience with end-to-end understanding;
  • Technical expertise in SAP APO, IBP, OMP, or similar systems, with strong SAP S/4HANA knowledge;
  • Proficiency in system integration, data management, and performance assessment;
  • Deep knowledge in Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, or Scheduling;
  • Solid DevOps experience in supply chain systems, including design, testing, and debugging;
  • Programming skills in C++, Java, Python, GIT, SQL;
  • Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to handle complex environments under pressure;
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in English;
