Responsibilities:
- Develop and support (DevOps) our supply chain planning systems to ensure smooth integration with the new ERP system in S/4 HANA environment (Project NGBA).
- Undertake training to understand BASF Supply Chain Planning processes/solutions in APO, IBP, and OMP, and develop skills in S&OP and supply planning processes, frameworks, and technical setups.
- Coordinate the interface transition between BASF Supply Chain Planning solutions and the core ERP system from ECC to S/4 HANA (Project NGBA), representing S&OP and Supply Planning teams.
- Design and implement S&OP and Supply Planning processes and technical solutions across various business units, collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Work within an agile, virtual global S&OP and Supply Planning squad, engaging in system development, configuration, and ongoing support through hands-on learning and shadowing colleagues.
- Handle user stories, change requests, and proactively manage tasks within development squads.
- Ensure system readiness for interface with BW and MABAS, and integration between current S&OP and Supply Planning solutions with S/4 HANA.
- Define data structures, processes, and interfaces related to S&OP and Supply Planning, including transition from ECC to S/4 HANA.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, master data, BW, and integration teams to analyze impacts and ensure seamless interface and system architecture redesign.
- Coordinate with the NGBA project team to include S&OP and Supply Planning requirements within the project scope.
- Develop solutions when existing interfaces are inadequate post-S/4 HANA deployment.
- Conduct testing in DEV and ACC environments, support cutover activities, and provide go-live support.
- Evaluate the performance of custom code after transitioning to S/4 HANA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of supply chain planning experience with comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes.
- Technical and Professional Knowledge:
- Minimum of 5 years’ developer experience in supply chain planning, with strong technical skills in SAP APO, IBP, OMP, or similar systems.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA, system integration, data management, and performance assessment.
- Deep knowledge in areas such as Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, and Scheduling.
- Solid experience in DevOps practices within supply chain planning systems, including design, testing, configuration, and debugging.
- Programming skills in C++, Java, Python, GIT, SQL.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and solution development skills for complex integration issues.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder coordination and project alignment.
- Ability to work under pressure in complex environments, delivering on time and within budget.
- Analytical thinking, excellent English communication skills, and openness to challenge the status quo.
