Job summary

Zebra Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring a Supply Chain Planner I in Penang to help secure materials for Zebra's operations. You will collaborate with regional teams to maintain inventory levels, develop schedules, and support continuous improvement in materials management processes.

Responsibilities include deploying regional supply chain models, coordinating with buyers and order management, and reporting shortages.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.
• International Supply Chain experience in service and/or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in deployment of supply chain model within region
• Assist planning and development of supply schedule to keep sufficient inventory positions to support material requirements of internal or external customers
• Assist in the review and adjustment of demand plan with internal stakeholders
• Follows instructions and applies Zebra’s procedures to resolve issues and mitigate constraints impacting supply plan including capacity, transportation, and order-management errors
• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on time deliveries; partner with Order Management to resolve any admin/order error(s)
• Work with senior team members to identify and report shortages within the broader supply chain organization and support resolution
• Develop working relationships and communications with key cross functional stakeholders to confirm production / shipping schedules
• Receives detailed instructions on all work
• May assist in performing ad-hoc analysis as needed
• May participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the supply chain function

What We’re Looking For

The Supply Chain Planning team is responsible for securing materials used in Zebra’s operations. Supply requirements are moderated by the team to ensure that inventory positions are appropriate to meet the demand requirements relative to forecasted levels, inventory on order and in transit from regional distribution centers, product life cycle, quality and special customer requirements and/or projects. The team cooperates with are Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Finance, Helpdesk and Customer Experience Management teams. The Supply Chain Planner I has a key role in the team. Beside standard materials planning responsibilities, the person is expected to participate in continuous improvement activities of materials management processes and project management work.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school or equivalent
• Work Experience: International Supply Chain experience in service and/or manufacturing is a plus
