Job summary

A leading company in engineering and equipment is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to manage procurement and supplier relationships. This role requires a diploma or degree in Material/Supply Management along with relevant experience. The successful candidate will participate in cost reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of working experience in related field required.
• Experience in contract manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP and Oracle systems is an advantage.

• Source and purchase indirect materials/services according to specifications.
• Prepare quote comparisons and monitor RFQ processes.
• Manage all suppliers ethically and professionally.

• Source & purchase indirect materials/services according to specifications.
• Prepare quote comparisons, monitor RFQ processes, document concerns, discrepancies, and issues, and submit for approval.
• Perform daily purchase requisition and purchase order processing.
• Follow up and confirm delivery lead times of POs and expedite delivery of goods.
• Initiate open bidding for crating services.
• Deal with subcontractors for manpower supply.
• Maintain facility yearly service contract agreements.
• Manage all suppliers in a manner consistent with the highest professional, ethical, moral, and legal standards.
• Plan, source, and develop new potential vendors at competitive prices, quality, and lead times.
• Engage in cost reduction activities and participate in regular cost-saving programs.
• Perform other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by management from time to time.
• Possess good analytical skills to work with vendors to determine the best deals based on price, quality, lead time, on-time delivery, and other factors.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Material/Supply Management.
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in a related field is required.
• Preferably with material/supply management experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• MRO experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ERP and Oracle systems is an added advantage.
