Our client is based in Batu Kawan, Penang, and specializes in manufacturing electronic integrated circuits, micro-assemblies, and consumer electronics.

Main Responsibilities

• Establish and drive strategic objectives for sourcing and procurement functions, aligned with overall business goals and customer requirements.
• Identify and capitalize on sourcing opportunities that deliver measurable cost savings, based on a thorough understanding of operational needs.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and build strong, value-driven relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms—particularly in achieving pricing efficiency to support customer project success.
• Define and manage total procurement cost goals, focusing on cost control, quality, and delivery performance.
• Implement effective supplier performance tracking systems, ensuring robust inventory management and consistent supplier reliability.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on results and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement training and development programs in sourcing and inventory management to ensure team readiness and compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality performance; take corrective action when needed to maintain high standards.
• Apply structured project and change management methodologies to enhance sourcing effectiveness and organizational adaptability.
• Oversee procurement performance using defined KPIs, covering financial metrics (cost savings, budget adherence) and non-financial metrics (lead times, supplier responsiveness).
• Continuously evaluate and optimize procurement processes for efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong internal customer relationships and supplier partnerships to ensure alignment and support of company objectives.
• Implement and promote sourcing best practices and strategies that drive long-term value creation and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with global Norautron Group teams to align sourcing strategies and share best practices to improve global procurement performance.
• Ensure compliance with AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) requirements and manage associated certifications.
• Support and uphold the implementation of ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
• Ensure all procurement activities fully comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Perform other related responsibilities as required by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing or electronics manufacturing services (EMS) environment, with at least 8 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven knowledge of sourcing and procurement practices, procedures, and regulations within the EMS or similar industries.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams and drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve impactful business outcomes.
• Strong project management, organizational, and change leadership skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and high standards of professionalism.
• Resilient under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in high-stakes situations.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
