Job description

Job Description Summary

The tactical planner is responsible for driving and managing market demand and supply planning over a tactical horizon (3 to 24 months), ensuring optimal product availability at the right time. They support the demand plan, facilitate communication between the market and site, and maintain visibility of the supply plan for commercial stakeholders, ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery to support business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and manage the master production schedule for the tactical horizon, including production volumes based on demand, capacity analysis, and resource allocation, aiming to optimize operational costs and inventory levels.
  2. Provide customers with clear visibility of the supply plan and monitor delivery commitments according to SLAs.
  3. Coordinate remedial actions for resource constraints and oversee supply KPI reporting and analysis.
  4. Maintain appropriate SKU inventories across the supply chain.
  5. Confirm supply and production orders at the entry point of the time fence, ensuring process and SAP system knowledge is continuously enhanced to maximize system benefits.
  6. Implement and maintain integration activities between the global NTO supply chain and finance functions.
  7. Monitor, control, and improve supply chain processes, managing projects at the platform level, including logistics and WAndD, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  8. Create and maintain SLAs and related planning parameters aligned with customer needs.
  9. Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as country managers, regional logistics heads, and SCM teams.
  10. Support regional logistics projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  11. Establish and align the master production schedule with the SAndOP process, facilitate supply review meetings, and lead demand control activities for the mid-term horizon.
  12. Lead LC projects to ensure compliant drug supplies, maintaining detailed change-over plans.
  13. Manage 4PL providers to support warehouse operations, ensuring KPI targets are met, and support warehouse activities like stock takes and destruction.
  14. Lead and support supply chain projects, both local and regional.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Inventory management, gap analysis, cost efficiency, and process effectiveness
  • Forecast accuracy and bias
  • Budget adherence for PCE, HC, warehouse, and distribution
  • Timely launch and transfer execution, and effective interface with commercial operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
  • 5-7 years of relevant supply chain experience
  • Operations management and execution experience
