In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments such as Operations and Finance to create effective business plans, thus teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management as well as great leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create the company’s supply chain strategy
  • Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks and issues
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs
  • Monitor logistics to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records
  • Train and guide employees
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
  • Resolve ad hoc issues (e.g., delays, accidents)
  • Collaborate with other departments for coordinated business growth plans
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines across the supply chain (e.g., trucks, forklifts)
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and standards
  • Negotiate with suppliers and procurement for profitable deals
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Experience in Change and Transformation management
  • Experience with SAP & ERP systems is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese (due to business needs)
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, strategic and analytical thinking
  • Ability to share strategic and operational reports and metrics as needed
  • Report on targets and implement corrective actions
  • People management skills and understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain components
