A leading automotive appliance company in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee logistics, supplier evaluations, and import/export operations. With responsibilities that include managing logistics and optimizing processes, the right candidate will have at least 15 years of experience and a relevant degree. Strong communication and team-building skills are essential, along with proficiency in logistics systems and tools.
· Comprehensive management of safety, health, environmental protection, and compliance with laws and regulations.
· Annual budgeting and control, developing investment plans for supply chain logistics-related facilities, equipment, personnel, etc., based on the annual business plan.
· Team building and sustainable development.
· Promoting and participating in the standardization, process optimization, systematization, and digitalization of logistics and material control processes to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
2. Logistics and System Management
· Responsible for the qualification review of logistics suppliers (such as carriers and warehousing service providers), establishing evaluation mechanisms (such as KPIs and service level agreements), and conducting comprehensive performance evaluations of suppliers' logistics delivery.
· Leading customer audits (such as those from automotive manufacturers or third-party auditing institutions) of the logistics system, providing required documents and data support; developing and tracking implementation of corrective action plans for audit issues to ensure compliance and closure of issues.
· Process optimization and risk control, analyzing potential risks in logistics operations (such as delivery delays and cargo damage), developing emergency response plans, and organizing drills.
· Management of warehousing, receiving and dispatching, inventory control, packaging, warehouse and material flow planning, and new project launch management.
· Coordinating import and export logistics trade operations between China and Malaysia, and between the Malaysia plant and foreign customers, including just-in-time (JIT) delivery to Malaysian OEM customers.
3. Planning Management
· Planning production capacity based on monthly forecasts, including production line personnel, site, logistics facilities, and other capabilities.
· Managing the entire business planning process, including but not limited to customer plans, production plans, material plans, shipping plans, transportation plans, and export plans, to meet customer delivery requirements, reduce inventory, and ensure supply.
· Analyzing planning data, such as plan completion rates and inventory turnover rates, regularly improving deviations between plans and execution, and optimizing costs and efficiency.
· Liaising with customers, suppliers, and production departments to resolve supply chain disruptions caused by material shortages, delays, or quality issues; ensuring dynamic alignment of component inventory with production line requirements to avoid excess or shortage of semi-finished products; and developing rational shipping plans to ensure delivery and cost control.
4. Import and Export Management
· Familiarity with local Malaysian customs, commerce, import and export, logistics, trade, and free trade zone laws and regulations.
· Managing the overall logistics, warehousing, and import and export trade operations of the Malaysia plant, matching relevant documents and accounts.
· Analyzing potential issues and risks in logistics and trade operations (such as delivery delays and cargo damage), developing emergency response plans, and organizing drills (such as in the event of trade conflicts); coordinating local Malaysian logistics resources (such as vehicles and warehousing).
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree and above, preferably in logistics management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related fields.
2. Minimum 15 years of experience in automotive logistics or supply chain management; experience in supplier management or customer audit response; at least 5 years in a management position.
3. Proficient in using logistics operation and management systems such as ERP, WMS, MES, TMS, LES, and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI); familiar with MMOG/LE logistics systems or APICS industry standards, with CPIM or CSCP certification is an add advantages.
4. Strong communication and coordination abilities, excellent team-building skills, and the ability to handle emergencies.
5. Able to speak in English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
