A leading company in Malaysia is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to develop and implement strategic plans, manage procurement, logistics, and inventory, and lead a team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance operational efficiencies and align supply chain activities with company objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.

2. Procurement and Supplier and Vendor Management
• Manage supplier and vendor selection, performance evaluation, and relationship development.
• Negotiate contracts, payment terms and ensure timely procurement of materials and services in line with production requirements.
3. Production Planning and Inventory Management
• Oversee production scheduling in coordination with relevant departments.
• Monitor and control inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
4. Logistics and Transportation
• Plan and manage the transportation of goods from factory to customers.
• Optimize delivery schedules, transportation routes, and warehouse operations.
5. Cost Management
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across procurement, logistics, and inventory operations.
• Monitor supply chain budget/ cost and ensure compliance with company financial targets.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports and KPIs for General Manager/ Top Management review.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of supply chain professionals.
• Promote a collaborative, performance-driven, and continuous improvement culture.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with internal teams including production, quality assurance, sales, and finance to ensure coordinated supply chain activities.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency and mitigation plans to address disruptions.
10. New Product Development (NPD)
• Support the NPD process by coordinating material planning, sourcing activities, and supplier readiness.
• Ensure supply chain readiness for smooth product launch and ramp-up.
11. New Customer Onboarding
• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure supply chain systems and processes are aligned with new customer requirements.
• Coordinate planning, procurement, and logistics activities to support successful onboarding and fulfilment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management best practices.
Experience with PR/PO processes, vendor management, and ERP systems.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and relevant supply chain management software.
