Supply Chain Executive

About the role

We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Officer to join our team at Meridian Piow Trading in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's supply chain operations and ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials. What you'll be doing

1. Coordinating the procurement and inventory management processes to optimise supply chain efficiency
2. Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts, manage deliveries, and resolve any issues
3. Analysing demand forecasts, inventory levels, and purchase orders to make informed sourcing and replenishment decisions
4. Implementing and maintaining effective inventory control systems to minimise stockouts and reduce carrying costs
5. Tracking and reporting on key supply chain metrics to identify areas for improvement
6. Collaborating with the logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of products
7. Providing support and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proficient in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Familiar with Excel calculations and SQL accounting software
