Summary
Maintain a high-performing Supply Chain team for Novartis Pharma. Develop, implement, and be accountable for Supply Chain strategic, tactical, and operational plans for AEM NPhS to ensure continuous supply of Novartis quality medicines to patients. Establish clear and effective business ownership for Supply Chain processes within the CPO SCM organization to ensure adherence and sustainability of the defined standards.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Supply Chain processes to align with and support business vision and goals.
- Drive the SC team to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Novartis medicines are always available for patient needs.
- Support building a strong culture of continuous business improvement.
- Contribute to financial and business results both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Develop effective working relationships with AEM NPhS distributors.
- Ensure governance of unit processes and align key accountabilities with global Supply Chain directions.
- Ensure local business process owners contribute to continuous improvement of defined standards, providing inputs and participating in global initiatives.
- Utilize available budget and resources effectively.
- Drive SC activities to ensure effective launching of new products.
- Support and promote Novartis compliance and quality standards.
Essential Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning in pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
- Implement state-of-the-art value chain processes such as S&OP, collaborative planning, warehouse & distribution, and lifecycle management (launches, transfers, changes, pruning).
- Formulate and develop supply chain strategies and policies for AEM NPhS markets.
- Support product lifecycle management activities.
- Proactively monitor market, business environment, quality/regulatory, and technical changes, and adapt supply models accordingly.
- Support global SC improvement initiatives and lead them within AEM NPhS markets.
- Lead distribution network activities to ensure timely product delivery with high service levels.
- Develop tender management activities from invitation to supply.
- Manage inventory strategies at distributor level.
- Develop local manufacturing projects and ensure supply plans support demand in collaboration with Basel External Supply organization.
- Ensure effective use of ERP systems and proper application of static data and operating parameters.
- Promote and lead continuous improvement activities.
- Establish and effectively use communication channels.
- Lead order management processes for AEM NPhS markets.
Desirable Requirements:
- University degree in Science, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
