Job summary

Flex in Batu Kawan, Penang is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to act as the customer interface for strategic materials management across key accounts. You will support GPSC reporting, perform data and market trend analysis, and deliver insights to enable effective decision-making.

Typical duties include driving sourcing strategies, presenting value propositions to customers and suppliers, coordinating pricing, and tracking PPV performance to meet cost-reduction goals.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management.
• Understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.

• Interface with customers and suppliers during new product introductions (NPI) regarding total cost of ownership considerations.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supply Chain Analyst located in Batu Kawan, Penang. Responsible for serving as the customer interface for strategic materials management across assigned key accounts. Supports the Materials Manager or Director in developing and implementing GPSC reports, conducting data and market trend analysis, and providing insights to facilitate effective decision-making.

What a typical day looks like:

• Drive sourcing and pricing strategies for material quotations.
• Present material value propositions to customers and suppliers, influencing customers to utilize preferred suppliers.
• Interface with customers and suppliers during new product introductions (NPI) and project start-ups regarding total cost of ownership considerations.
• Develop and guide the implementation of supply flexibility and assurance plans.
• Manage component costs and pricing at local, regional, and global levels.
• Track material-related financial performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Define and implement pricing and costing strategies.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and customers.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
• Increase Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), reduce lead times, and enhance Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) utilization.

Specialized Job controls may be required for certain positions.

Supply Management

• Manage regional supplier contract negotiations, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and regional pricing agreements.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Measure and report Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and implement corrective action plans.
• Monitor and manage supplier lead times and performance.
• Mitigate material shortages, excess inventory on order, and excess inventory on hand.
• Participate in and support global and regional commodity teams.
• Contribute supplier performance and spend data for quarterly scorecards.

Customer Supply Chain Management

• Manage material cost reviews with customers.
• Drive initiatives to improve gross material margins.
• Identify, implement, and drive actions for Retained Purchase Price Variance (RPPV) optimization.
• Drive reconciliation activities with customers, including PPV, premium charges, carrying costs, freight charges, excess and obsolete inventory, and NCNR exposure.
• Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop supporting materials management plans.
• Coordinate the monthly and quarterly PPV review process.
