A leading company in the energy solutions sector is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to enhance supplier quality processes and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and over 7 years of experience in supplier quality management. This role involves leading audits, quality improvement, and supplier evaluations, requiring strong technical and data analysis skills. Applicants should be pressure-resistant, well-versed in APQP, and willing to travel for on-site inspections.
Your Challenges:
1. Responsible for Lifecycle Quality Management of structural component suppliers (plastic parts, die-casting, sheet metal, etc.), including new supplier audits, new product introduction (NPI), and handling factory quality issues with corrective/preventive actions;
2. Manage local trial-run after mold transfer(from China), advanced product quality planning (APQP), T0 mold sample reviews, sample inspections, and approval sign-offs;
3. Lead supplier quality issue resolution—implement containment actions, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using quality tools, review supplier 8D reports, and track corrective actions to ensure issue closure;
4. Apply APQP, PPAP, and MSA to ensure suppliers deliver qualified products on schedule, and monitor production process stability;
5. Lead continuous improvement (QCC/6 Sigma), conduct supplier performance evaluations, and organize regular quality meetings/trainings;
6. Participate in supplier qualification/certification and lead supplier audits.
Your Profile includes:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electronics, Materials, Quality Management, or related fields;
2. Experience: 7+ years in SQE/supplier quality management;
3. Quality Standards: Familiar with ISO 9001/IATF 16949; VDA 6.3 process audit experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
1. Proficient in APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA;
2. Hands-on experience with CMM, coating thickness gauges, tensile testers, and AutoCAD drawing interpretation;
3. Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, etc.).
Soft Skills:
1. Excellent communication & coordination to drive supplier improvements;
2. Pressure-resistant, willing to travel for on-site supplier audits;
Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification.
