Supplier Quality Engineer - PTP

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located in Port Tanjung Pelepas (PTP).

What a typical day looks like:

1. Supplier Selection: Select suitable suppliers through joint efforts of sourcing, considering quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environmental, and social regulations against customer requirements.
2. Supplier Qualification: Implement new supplier qualification processes including capability matching, risk assessment, self-assessment, onsite audits, and database management.
3. VEA (Value-Added Engineering Activity): Understand customer drawings and specifications to provide value-added engineering proposals for process or product optimization.
4. Material (Component) Qualification: Conduct PPAP (FAI), including FAI, material certificates, control plans, FMEA, MSA, process parameters, RoHS compliance, reliability testing, and COC.
5. Pilot Run Tracking: Monitor quality performance during pilot runs, drive corrective actions, and ensure smooth transfer to mass production.
6. Hot Issue Solution and Troubleshooting: Serve as SME to resolve supplier quality issues.
7. Maintenance Audit: Assist in annual audits for existing suppliers.
8. Supplier CIP: Support continuous improvement using quality tools.
9. ECO/ECN/SCR Implementation: Manage customer change requests, including PPAP/FAI if required.

Additional responsibilities include understanding manufacturing processes, conducting supplier audits, maintaining supplier relationships, supporting process validation, and driving quality improvements.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in the relevant field.
• CMM skills are advantageous.
