Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd. In Malaysia, Bosch is active in four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools, and steering systems, with a fourth plant and a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors upcoming. PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. Construction began in May 2021, with the first series of production scheduled for 2023. The plant will focus on the final testing of semiconductors and sensors manufactured at Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, and will also include R&D and training facilities.

Position Overview
- Perform audits at electronic component suppliers in Asia/Pacific to enhance quality within BBM mobility company.
- Support systematic problem solving onsite at these suppliers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct VDA6.3 process audits as a lead auditor or support supplier qualification according to ISO9001:2015/ IATF 16949.
- Drive gap analysis and follow-up on countermeasures based on audit or supplier evaluation findings.
- Support solutions to improve supply chain based on supplier audits or evaluations.
- Assist in supplier enabling and improvement programs to enhance quality and production efficiency.
- Support systematic problem solving (including 8D, 5 Why) for quality or supply issues at suppliers.
- Assist with physical analysis processes at suppliers.
- Support internal audits at PgP5.
- Assist PgP5/QMM in preparing 8D reports for customers.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with at least 2 years in automotive sector.
- Qualified VDA6.3 process auditor preferred.
- Experience in supplier quality management or manufacturing process management, with problem-solving skills and Error proof/Poka-Yoke expertise.
- Knowledge of ISO9001/IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Effective communication skills in articulating defects and coaching suppliers.
- Advanced knowledge of wafer fab, assembly, and test processes.
- Proficiency in English; German and Mandarin skills are an advantage.
