Job Description
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations
- Manage and operate security systems (Security, Health and Safety Portal, CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, etc.).
- Coordinate timely completion of outstanding Security Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions with appropriate parties and communicate issues to the District Manager and Regional Security Manager/Director.
- Participate in District Business Review meetings to discuss security-related issues, concerns, and best practices.
- Coach employees and management on incident reporting per the Security Incident Reporting Standard.
- Lead all district security incident investigations in coordination with Regional and CHQ Security.
- Support Business Continuity Plan development and testing.
- Support the full implementation of Expeditors Health and Safety Standards.
- Educate colleagues and Service Providers regarding safety to promote a safety culture, addressing potential resistance.
- Supervise outsourced security personnel in daily security operations.
- Serve as the key contact for Operational Process Standards.
- Manage Security, Health, and Safety resources and tools (e.g., the Portal).
- Deliver Security, Health, and Safety training (including instructor-led courses).
Compliance
- Promote compliance by diligently following all company policies and regulations, and serve as a role model of integrity and pride.
- Proactively communicate with the team to ensure ongoing awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
- Ensure 100% branch compliance with all local Security, Health & Safety regulations, in coordination with compliance officers.
- Ensure 100% branch compliance with all Operational Process Standards (“Expeditors Minimum Security, Health & Safety Standards”).
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with supervisory functions, preferably in logistics or supply chain industry.
- At least 1 year of experience in setting up and administering Security Systems.
- Ability to drive standards, awareness, compliance, and implementation of security, health, and safety matters.
- Ability to conduct Security, Health & Safety related briefings and training sessions efficiently.
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word).
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership qualities and skills.
- Ability to drive change effectively.
