Job summary

Western Digital in Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to manage eNCS-related processes and collaborate with QC/QA teams to ensure on-hold and off-hold accuracy. The role involves leading data-driven investigations, training technicians, and driving QC improvement initiatives.

Required is a Bachelor's in Sciences and 4–7 years of relevant experience, with strong testing, analytical, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Track eNCS issuance by operations and categories.
• Manage on-hold/off-hold in accordance to eNCScases.
• Coordinate with QC/QA engineers for accurate on-hold and prompt off-hold.
• Alert QA if parts already shipped during on-hold.
• Check with QC Engineers/QA to ensure timely triggering of actions.
• Provide guidance and training to technicians for data supporting issue resolution.
• Collaborate with QC/QA to review rework data and off-hold assessments.
• Identify potential escapees and set correct on-hold time frames with Process owners.
• Attend Daily Production/Quality meetings and Weekly QC/QA improvement meetings.
• Drive or lead projects related to QC improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track eNCSissuance by operations and categories
• Manage on-hold/off-hold in accordance to eNCScases
• Follow up and work with respective QC/QA engineers closely for accurate on-hold & prompt off-hold
• Alert QA in case of any parts already shipped out during on-hold.
• Constant checking on QC Engineers/QC Leadersto ensure accurate and on time triggering to minimize on-hold
• Provide guidance and training to technicians to ensure enough and accurate supporting data to aid process owners troubleshooting during issuance of eNCS.
• Work closely within QC & with QA to review rework data & off-hold assessment efficiently.
• Identify potential escapees, correct on-hold time frame as provided/discussed with Process owners.
• Attend Daily Production/Quality meeting, Weekly QC/QA improvement meeting & Yield Focus
• Drive or handle specific projects related to QC improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or related experience.
• Between 4-7 years of relevant work experience
