As a Supervisor supporting Finishing Production, you will be primarily responsible for leading team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes at Johor, Malaysia. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes
  • Manage production activities, including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate resources
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions
  • Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement
  • Assure a safe work environment, develop pipeline talent, and foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management and driving talent development
  • Ensure positive associate relations, enhance engagement, recognize achievements, and drive a strong safety culture
  • Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members and impacting daily operations and efficiency
  • Ensure all associates adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GxP) regulations, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain documentation, and complete required training
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to overall compliance and continuous improvement
  • Adherence to Alcon values and behaviors, observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts, and Alcon Health, Safety and Environment Standards

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Education: Degree in science, engineering or any related field
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
  • Good writing skills in relation to risk assessments papers
  • Improvement projects experience in relation to change request and SOPs drafting.
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Must be willing to work in rotating shift
