Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (Retail) seeks a detail-oriented Stock/Department Assistant to support department operations at our Selayang area stores. You will oversee staffing, stock levels, signage, and pricing, while ensuring adherence to company policies and accurate returns processing.

Responsibilities include handling stock takes, invoicing coordination with suppliers, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Operational experience in dept/store management.
• Ability to handle stock, pricing, and signage.

Responsabilités

• Assisting in managing the department/category including staffing and stock levels.
• Ensure service level of stock meets expectations.
• Manage and control stock level in the store.
• Monitor and ensure signage and pricing are up-to-date.
• Assist in stock takes / cycle counts.
• Ensure department follows company policies.
• Manage returns to suppliers for defective/dented/expired items.
• Carry out disposal at branch or warehouse.
• Maintain shrinkage at a minimum level.
• Achieve sales targets for the departments.
• Handle invoicing and supplier coordination.
• Labeling items correctly and updating system entries.
• Provide staff training on sales, stock management and customer service.
• Respond to supervisor instructions and carry out tasks as assigned.

Assisting DM in managing the department / category assigned, including staffing and stock levels, in a suitable manner, encourage growth, performance and excellence at all times

Ensure service level of stock meets the expectation set at all situation.

Manage and control stock level in the store.

Monitor and ensure signage and pricing are up-to-date.

Assisting in conducting and coordinating stock take / Cycle Count Activities.

Ensuring department is implementing company policies and procedures.

Manage returns to supplier’s e.g. dented / expired / discontinued / obsolete articles / defective products.

Manage disposal item at respective branch or send to warehouse

Maintain and ensure shrinkage at a minimum level.

Responsible in achieving sales targets for the departments.

Operate and maintain machinery / equipment / computer.

Demonstrate professionalism towards outside contacts – customers and etc.

As and when carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Ensure the quantity and quality of goods sold is in good condition and help in introducing the latest products in Mydin.

Perform Ordering process for stocks

Carry out returns to supplier’s e.g. dented / expired / discontinued / obsolete articles / defective products.

Carry out disposal process at respective branch or send to warehouse

Be an intermediary between employees and management. Listen and try to solve employee problems if they can afford it.

Solve problems / issues arise by subordinates and customers.

Ensure staffs to attend compulsory trainings include in sales, stock management, inventory, customer service, cashier and other relevant skills as per required by Management.

Receive any instructions from superiors to carry out tasks from time to time.

Job Summary

Enter and verify bills and invoices accurately.

Coordinate with suppliers for invoice submission.

Handle and record product samples correctly.

Ensure proper and updated labeling of items.

Assist with system issues and otherassignedtasks.

Requirement / Qualification

Minimum qualification: SPM with a credit in Mathematics. /O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent
