Alton Intelligent Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor Manufacturing Digitalization Engineer to lead factory digitalization, information systems, and data governance, driving smart manufacturing initiatives and business improvements.
You will oversee digital infrastructure, MES/WMS/QMS/ERP integration, data quality, and AI-driven solutions, coordinating IT, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to deliver measurable efficiency gains.
Digital Transformation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall digitalization and smart manufacturing development of the factory. This role will lead digitalization planning, system implementation, data governance, and the execution of smart manufacturing projects. By leveraging digital tools and data analytics, the position will drive business improvements, enhance production efficiency and operational management, and strengthen the factory's overall smart manufacturing capabilities.
Lead the overall planning and annual implementation roadmap for the factory's manufacturing digitalization and information systems.
Oversee the development of digital infrastructure for both new and existing factories, including network infrastructure, server rooms/data centers, and Operational Technology (OT) networks.
Develop digitalization solutions based on the factory's business development needs and drive projects through to successful implementation.
Lead the requirements analysis, solution alignment, deployment, commissioning, and system integration of manufacturing systems such as MES, WMS, QMS, APS, and PLM.
Drive data connectivity and business process integration across different systems to establish an efficient and standardized flow of information.
Oversee the daily operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of systems after implementation, ensuring that digital systems effectively support business operations.
Oversee the governance, standardization, and continuous optimization of factory master data and business data.
Establish data quality standards, data management processes, and regular monitoring mechanisms.
Lead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of digitalization projects such as AI visual inspection, intelligent production scheduling, intelligent dispatching, and automated data collection.
Oversee the training, capability development, and certification of employees in digitalization-related roles.
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Manufacturing, Information Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing information systems, digitalization, or smart manufacturing within a factory environment.
Good knowledge of mainstream manufacturing information systems such as MES, WMS, QMS, APS, PLM, and ERP.
Knowledge of smart manufacturing applications, including Industrial AI, machine vision, intelligent production scheduling, and intelligent dispatching.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data analysis, and business data applications.
Basic knowledge of networks, servers, databases, and Industrial/Operational Technology (OT) networks.
Excellent project management, resource coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-design capabilities, with the ability to translate business challenges into practical and implementable digital solutions.
Strong leadership, execution, and project-driving capabilities, with the ability to coordinate IT, Production, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and other departments to ensure successful project implementation.
Able to adapt to the fast-paced environment of a newly established and rapidly developing factory, with strong ownership and a proven ability to drive issues through to closure.
