Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and servicing of all HVAC systems across KLGCC. This role ensures that the air conditioning infrastructure runs efficiently, safely, and meets comfort standards for members, guests, and staff. The role also involves supervising a team of technicians and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, assign, and monitor the work of air conditioning technicians to ensure timely and quality maintenance of HVAC systems
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown repairs, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and provide hands-on support for repairs and installations
- Inspect all HVAC systems including chillers, VRV/VRF units, split units, and ventilation systems for performance and compliance
- Maintain records of maintenance work, refrigerant usage, service logs, and system documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and club operating procedures
- Work closely with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for outsourced maintenance works, servicing, or spare part procurement
- Prepare technical reports, requisitions, and inventory control for HVAC-related parts and equipment
- Support cross-functional maintenance work when required, including during events or emergencies
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Certificate in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Certification: Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), Wireman PW2/PW4 (added advantage)
- Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in HVAC maintenance, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role (preferably in hospitality, resort, or facility management)
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC systems including central chillers, VRV/VRF systems, and building management systems (BMS)
- Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Computer literate and able to generate basic technical reports
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
