The Substation Automation Engineer will be responsible for engineering, testing and commissioning of electro technical projects in the field of automation (Substation Automation System, Remote Terminal Unit, Telecommunication Systems). Performing detailed engineering, panel production design, participation in factory testing, factory acceptance test and commissioning.

Work closely with the project manager to ensure the meeting of deadlines. Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications and schedule commitments, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• You will work in Substation SCADA, RTU, Power system, substation and MV/HV switchgear knowledge is an advantage, familiarity with substation automation systems, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Gateways will be a key differentiator, conversant with design tools like AutoCAD, E3 or equivalent for substation layouts, cable schedules, wiring and termination charts.
• You will implement Substation Automation System/Remote Terminal Unit/Electrical Telecommunication System in Power industry, to produce designs and required documents for customer’s approval and workshop documents in conformance to specifications, guidelines and contractual obligation, assist in liaising with Project pertaining to design input and submission to Customer and Authorities.
• You will liaise with the Sales/Project and material management in all stages from design planning, design review and production, perform testing and commissioning works, to meet or exceed together delivery time and customer satisfaction.
• You will act as the champion for Hitachi Energy processes and policies, contribute to development of standard processes and work instructions by adopting Hitachi internal as well as industry best practices, ensure lessons learned from all execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated as continuous improvement actions.
• You will promote and enforce a safe working environment by enforcing and supporting adequate HSE measures in all activities undertaken by himself & the team, follow ethics and compliances as per company guidelines.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Engineering Major in Electrical or Automation Control or similar field.
• Min 2 years of working experience, fresh graduate who have exposure on substation automation system is encouraged to apply

• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, proven ability to handle customer comments and approval responses to support project manager in project engineering is a must.
• Proficiency in both Spoken and Written English is mandatory.
