Baker Hughes, an internationally leading manufacturing company, is looking for an accountancy & finance professional to join as a Cost Controller.
Shape financial planning strategy
The Cost Controller is a key part of the Project Finance team for the Subsea Project & Services business. The role provides financial reporting and analysis to the project execution team and other stakeholders, including the Project Finance Manager. You will be part of a global team of cost controllers, responsible for budget management across multiple projects.
As the Subsea Project Cost Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the impact of change orders and identifying/reporting changes in expected costs for project scope. Cost control for a portfolio of projects.
- Forecasting quarterly spend profiles across projects, reflecting project execution aligned with the project plan. Conducting Quarterly Project Cost Reviews (PCR) to validate total project costs to the wider SPS management team.
- Managing weekly cost budgets within Oracle ERP.
- Reporting quarterly volume variances to SPS QMI.
- Supporting the SPS cash collection effort by maintaining focus on timely achievement of cash milestones.

- Have an impressive academic background & graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree in finance/economics or a related field, or equivalent degree with demonstrable finance experience.
- Have working knowledge of Excel and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective team player. Good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
