Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Student Counsellor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing services and programmes aimed at supporting students' mental and emotional well-being through individual counselling, interventions, outreach programmes, self-enrichment workshops, events, and activities.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Provide individual counselling sessions for students with personal and/or educational concerns.
• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate self-enrichment workshops/talks/group sessions centered on personal growth and life skills.
• Conduct stress screening and stress-relief activities for students.
• Support the Student Counselling Unit’s crisis intervention efforts and provide counselling and support to affected students and parents.
• Plan, organize and lead programmes or events aimed at promoting wellness for student population in-collaboration with student societies.
• Network and consult with relevant external agencies such as social services, independent and voluntary sector, to facilitate and enable intervention at multiple levels.
• Refer students to the relevant mental health service providers or other community resources when necessary.
• Ensure all forms, records and reports with regards to counselling / intervention are up-to-date and ensure confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work unless there is a safeguarding concern.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a recognised Bachelor's or Master’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Counselling Psychology.
• Candidates must be a registered counsellor with a practicing certificate issued by the Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
• Proficient in English and Mandarin will be in advantaged.
