About The Role

As a Structured Cabling Team Lead at CBRE, you will be responsible for leading and supervising cabling teams in mission-critical data center projects. You’ll ensure the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership to deliver efficient cabling infrastructure that supports our global clients.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of technicians in the installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution.
• Review project drawings, rack layouts, and cable schedules to guide installations.
• Ensure compliance with TIA-942, ISO/IEC, and BICSI standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and vendors for seamless delivery.
• Validate and review test reports from Fluke DSX / OTDR and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Troubleshoot cabling issues and provide technical solutions in live environments.
• Mentor, train, and support junior team members to build team capability.

What You’ll Need

• 5–7 years of structured cabling experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory/team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of fiber (SM/MM, MPO/MTP) and copper (Cat6A/Cat7) cabling systems.
• Hands-on experience with Fluke DSX, OTDR, and cable certification processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, method statements, and project documentation.
• Experience in data center environments (Tier III/Tier IV preferred).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Certifications preferred: BICSI Technician/Installer, Fluke CCTT, CDCP/CDCS, or vendor certifications.
