The purpose of the Structural Engineer role in the Engineering Hub is to provide engineering design support, ensuring that design, analysis, and procedures comply with standards, while coordinating with team members to deliver safe and efficient construction solutions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Understand basic structural analysis to ensure design outputs meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
  2. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and materials take-offs.
  3. Design and execute engineering experiments to develop workable solutions.
  4. Review and check shop, architectural, and structural drawings.
  5. Assist in value engineering to optimize cost and construction speed.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety compliance.
  7. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies, striving to improve safety audits.
  8. Utilize skills and knowledge flexibly to benefit the business as needed.
  9. Perform all technical and engineering responsibilities within scope.
  10. Maintain a customer-centric mindset externally and internally.
  11. Quickly analyze situations, identify issues, and provide effective solutions.
  12. Work well with colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  13. Communicate effectively, articulating thoughts clearly in both verbal and written forms.
  14. Challenge oneself and provide constructive feedback.

Key functional competencies and relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • At least one year of experience in structural design of buildings.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and failure modes, especially reinforced concrete.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Goal-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, confident, proactive, and initiative-driven.
  • Effective time management skills for multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Alignment with Leviat values, including safety.
