Konsortium Bumi Consultants & Services Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in July 2006 to serve both State and Federal Government Infrastructure projects as a Mechanical & Electrical and Architect Engineering Consultant Company. KBCS have involved in Pan Borneo projects since its inception until its completion. Currently, KBCS is given responsibilities in Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) to create a pathway for ART in Kuching.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer at Konsortium Bumi Consultants & Services Sdn. Bhd. in Kuching. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for calculations, structural analysis, structural engineering, civil engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD) for various projects in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Proven experience in designing building structures
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (e.g. Revit, Tekla)

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for various building types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Review and coordinate structural designs with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, site personnel, and government officials.
• Ensure compliance with structural codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction and site supervision.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and design methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
