Job summary

Leighton Asia in Malaysia is seeking a strategic professional to analyse project performance, forecasts, and KPIs to drive business growth and decision-making. You will prepare executive reports and board papers, and support leadership meetings with clear, data-backed insights.

The role involves market and competitor analysis, development of strategic initiatives, and maintaining dashboards to inform regional reviews and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; master's/PhD advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, engineering, infrastructure, finance, or project controls.
• Strong analytical capability with experience in forecasting, reporting, and preparing executive-level presentations and board papers.

Job description

Job Duties

• Analyse project performance, financial results, business forecasts, and key performance metrics to provide actionable insights that support business growth and decision-making.
• Prepare executive presentations, management reports, and board papers while supporting leadership meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
• Conduct market, industry, and competitor analysis, evaluate business risks and opportunities, and support the development of strategic initiatives and business cases.
• Develop and maintain management dashboards, business performance reports, and data-driven insights using analytical and reporting tools.
• Support forecasting, project controls, operational improvement initiatives, client engagement activities, and project reviews across the region.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline; a Master's Degree or PhD is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, engineering, infrastructure, finance, business performance management, or project controls.
• Strong analytical capability with experience in business analysis, forecasting, reporting, and preparing executive-level presentations and board papers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, data visualisation, dashboard development, and the application of AI tools for business insights and productivity.
• Demonstrated leadership potential, commercial awareness, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, with aspirations for future leadership roles.
