Job Summary:

The Strategy and Investment Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's sustainable investment strategies to drive long-term environmental, social, and financial growth. This role involves market analysis, financial modeling, risk assessment, and strategic planning to identify profitable and sustainable investment opportunities and support business expansion. Additionally, this position requires actively sourcing and securing investment funds, grants, and alternative financing to support LGSI companies while maintaining strong relationships with investors. Frequent travel is necessary to engage with stakeholders, attend investment meetings, and explore new opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, sustainable investment analysis, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sustainable investment strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, market research, and due diligence for potential sustainable investments.
Identify, explore, and evaluate new business opportunities beyond the current portfolio, ensuring alignment with sustainable investment and supply chain growth.
Actively source and secure investment funds, grants, and alternative financing to support LGSI companies and business expansion.
Assess investment risks and propose risk mitigation strategies, considering environmental and social impact.
Monitor financial performance and key investment metrics to ensure sustainable portfolio optimization.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on data-driven insights.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to structure investment deals and negotiations.
Develop financial models, business cases, and feasibility studies for sustainable strategic initiatives.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors that impact sustainable investment decisions.
Frequently travel to meet with investors, attend industry conferences, and explore new investment opportunities.
Prepare reports, presentations, and investment proposals for senior management and board members.
Perform any other tasks deemed fit by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Sustainability, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sustainable investment management, corporate finance, or strategy consulting.
Strong exposure to venture capital (VC), private equity (PE), family offices, and impact-driven investments.
Experience in managing sustainable investment portfolios, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets.
Demonstrated experience in securing investment funds, grants, and alternative financing models.
Experience in grant applications, alternative financing models, and securing institutional funding would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and sustainable investment analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in financial software, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Strategic thinking and business acumen.
Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
