Job summary

Syntiant Malaysia Manufacturing SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior SCM leader to drive end-to-end supply chain excellence across procurement, planning, and logistics in Penang. You will lead cross-functional teams to improve OTIF, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier partnerships.

The role requires a minimum 10 years in manufacturing SCM with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, and proficiency with Oracle ERP and advanced Excel. A strategic mindset and strong ethics are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 10 years of operational experience in Production Planning, Procurement & Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics management, and LMW activities.
• Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, with proven experience in leading and managing a team of exempt staff.
• Proficient in Oracle systems (MRP/ERP) and highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
• Demonstrates strong professional ethics—discreet, trustworthy, mature, and committed to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for total supply chain management with value added activities and continuous improvement in aligning with Corporate Planning and Global Order Fulfillment Management.
• Lead Syntiant Malaysia Production planning team in collaborating with Syntiant Malaysia Logistics planning team to maximize total order fulfillment rate.
• Align Syntiant Malaysia Purchasing team with Global Category and SQE strategy.
• Driving inventory management across raw material, WIP, component and finished good on continuous improvement trend.
• Factory order fulfillment: Ensuring the Customer On Time Delivery (cOTD) and Product Availability to end customer as part of customer satisfactions.
• Oversee on time publication of weekly supply chain process metric or score card and assuring data reported correctly for Syntiant Malaysia.
• Optimization of supply chain resources cost and budget
• Cultivate the system data integrity practice for executing business process efficiently.
• Effective use of warehouse and storage space, equipment and human resources to achieve highest possible efficiency.
• Ensuring correct good receipt through proper document and verification against the PO.
• Steering distribution logistics with legal compliances to import and export regulatory (Export Control & STA 2010, WTO requirements and C-TPAT) as well as aligning with Corporate Logistics direction.
• Lead the Supply Chain process improvement which result in cost saving, shorter lead time, optimum inventory level, people productivity, process efficiency, data accuracy, etc.
• a. Escalate material shortages or potential customer line-down risks to Global Planning & Inventory Management and collaborate on contingency plans to minimize impact.
• b. Review and approve contracts and quotations in accordance with authorized approval limits.
• c. Authorize the release of MRB (Material Review Board) materials during MRB review meetings.
