Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst in Batu Kawan, Penang to support strategic materials management and serve as the customer interface for key accounts.

The role involves driving sourcing and pricing for materials, supporting GPSC reports, and collaborating with suppliers and customers on NPI, TOC, and cost-reduction initiatives. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience are typically required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management.
• Understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive sourcing and pricing strategies for material quotations.
• Present material value propositions to customers and suppliers to influence supplier selection.
• Interface with customers and suppliers during NPI and project start-ups regarding total cost of ownership.
• Develop and guide the implementation of supply flexibility and assurance plans.
• Manage component costs and pricing at local, regional, and global levels.
• Track material-related financial performance and initiate corrective actions.
• Define and implement pricing and costing strategies.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and customers.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
• Increase VMI, reduce lead times, and enhance EDI utilization.
