Job summary

AIXTRON Malaysia Sdn Bhd is building a new manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang. We seek a Supplier Quality Supervisor to define and drive supplier quality strategy, lead audits, and manage a growing SQE team in a fast-moving environment.

You will ensure quality readiness for NPI and ramp-ups, develop supplier programs, and collaborate with global teams to sustain high standards across Asia, Europe and the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Management, or related disciplines.
• 10–12 years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Advanced Quality Planning, initial sample inspections, and complaint management including 5+ years leadership in an international manufacturing environment.
• Quality auditor qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and defect evaluation.
• Strong quality tools knowledge (FMEA, APQP, 8D, SPC).
• Structured, analytical, fact-based mindset with solution orientation.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the supplier quality strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Develop supplier development programs to enhance maturity and performance.
• Lead supplier audits and ensure compliance with standards.
• Establish KPI-based supplier performance framework and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement a supplier quality management system.
• Manage risk assessment and production readiness for NPI and ramp-ups.
• Handle root-cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Direct and develop the supplier quality team, setting clear KPIs.
