Celestica, with a Design Centre in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Direct Commodity) to develop and execute strategies for strategic and high-dollar commodities. Qualifications

• 5–7 years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Deep understanding of AP culture.
• Experience negotiating contracts, stocking programs, LT reductions, and supplier development.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to build supplier and cross-functional relationships.
• Problem resolution and conflict management abilities.
• Knowledge of global supply chain trends affecting strategic commodities.
• Electrical engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for strategic and/or high-dollar commodities across regional scope.
• Lead global bidding initiatives and supplier negotiations to meet cost and delivery objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure continuity of supply.
• Build cross-functional relationships and advise on quality, delivery and cost improvements.
• Mentor and train new employees and drive continuous improvements in processes.
