Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Buyer II to source, purchase, and expedite materials from approved suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance. You will drive cost reduction initiatives and manage supplier performance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes inventory optimization, material availability, and alignment with organizational goals, requiring strong negotiation skills and knowledge of MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree holders with relevant engineering background are preferred.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities are essential for supplier management.
• Experience with MRP systems is beneficial.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage supplier performance.
• Knowledge of cost reduction and inventory management concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source and expedite materials from local and overseas suppliers.
• Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Maintain and implement supplier scorecard programs.
• Contribute to inventory optimization, cost reduction, and materials availability.
• Perform other duties as required.
