Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. is a contract manufacturer and precision parts supplier which offer total solutions in engineering and assembly of high quality modules and complete machine systems for Semiconductor, Medical, Aerospace and Science industries in Penang.

This role is for a Materials Planner who will develop and maintain production schedules, manage MRP/ERP processes, and coordinate with Production, Procurement, QA, Warehouse and Logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Purchasing / Material & Warehouse Management; or 2 year or more of related working experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and material management processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Plan and coordinate work orders, job travelers, and production activities to meet delivery commitments.
• Participate in Master Production Schedule (MPS) planning and loading activities.
• Analyze, maintain, and execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure material readiness.
• Monitor material pipelines and inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
• Identify material shortages and expedite critical components when required.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, QA, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure efficient workflow and shipment execution.
• Coordinate with Buyers and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
• Analyze production capacity, material requirements, and schedule changes to minimize risks and disruptions.
• Monitor order status, release production orders, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Prepare month-end inventory reports and support closing activities.
