Job summary

Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Planner for the Penang site to develop and maintain production plans, ensure on-time delivery, and optimize inventory. The role requires strong SAP knowledge, planning expertise, and collaboration across Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
Minimum 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics, mechanical or semiconductor preferred).
Strong knowledge of SAP, production planning, demand planning, material planning and capacity management.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, short-term, and long-term production plans to ensure on-time delivery and optimized inventory.
Use SAP and planning tools to analyze demand and convert requirements into supply plans.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Customer Service to align priorities and resolve planning challenges.
Monitor production capacity and material constraints; adjust schedules to meet business needs.
Drive process improvements through KPI tracking, inventory optimization, data analysis, and support for ECOs and new product projects.
