Job summary

WD is seeking a procurement and planning professional in Bayan Lepas, Penang to plan and purchase precious metals, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with EMS, OHSMS, and regulatory requirements. You will monitor inventory, support NPI requisitions, and drive cost-saving initiatives in a global manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in electronics or manufacturing procurement, with experience in MRP systems and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience in electronic or manufacturing environment.
• Procurement and planning related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase precious metal according to precious metal target demand in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery.
• Manage and process PR per guided lead time to support production need and timely settle consumed precious target.
• Provide long-term forecasts to suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
• Target (precious metal) shipment follows up & supplier delivery monitoring.
• Manage precious metal target turn over, track precious metal movement, monitor pool account and reconciliation activities.
• Manage and control inventory level according to management goal set.
• Manage End of Life (EOL) and inventory aging risk to minimize material exposure.
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
• Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
• To comply with Legal requirements (EMS, OHSMS), Regulatory Requirements (RBA, QMS, IMS), purchasing policies and procedures.
• Support SOX/IMS/BCMS activity and audit compliance.
• Coach and train junior staff in all procurement matters.
• Participate in cost saving projects and support Commodity Manager on cost saving analysis.
• Support Commodity Manager on Supplier Performance Review activity and data compilation.
• Participate in alternative or 2nd source development.
• Support NPI purchase requisition.
• Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and mitigation action execution.
