Job summary

HP is seeking a seasoned procurement professional in Malaysia to drive efficient procurement of goods and services, lead supplier development initiatives, and optimize sourcing across the organization.

You will standardize processes, manage supplier relationships, and deliver analytics to support cost management and strategic goals, while mentoring junior staff and providing training across teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in SCM or related discipline.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience in procurement, category management, operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides complex-level procurement support using subject matter expertise.
• Solves complex issues and drives tactical and strategic initiatives, including process standardizations and program strategies.
• Monitors programs, delivery solutions, KPIs, and process tasks; identifies issues and proposes solutions.
• Manages deployment of business processes and technical capabilities by suppliers and partners.
• Optimizes spend with external suppliers through negotiation and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborates with teams to maintain and enhance business objectives, such as cost management.
• Provides procurement process design to optimize operations.
• Provides independent analytic and strategic support to drive goals.
• Develops and supervises junior procurement staff; fosters professional growth.
• Provides comprehensive training and support on procurement processes.
