Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Logistics & Purchasing Executive to coordinate purchasing, import shipments, transportation, and material deliveries for infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with local and overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, transporters, and project teams to ensure materials are purchased and delivered safely, accurately, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM, Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin, or related field.
• 1–3 years in purchasing, procurement, logistics, import/export, shipment coordination, or related role.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, electrical, power cable, or utility sectors is a plus.
• Familiar with purchasing procedures, delivery orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Mandarin communication skills are preferred for overseas supplier coordination.

Responsibilities

• Source materials, equipment, transportation services, and other project requirements.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations based on price, quality, specs, delivery schedule, and terms.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers on orders, production, and shipping schedules.
• Monitor outstanding orders and expedite deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Coordinate import shipments, customs clearance, and payment of duties.
• Plan and arrange transportation to warehouses and project sites.
• Maintain supplier records and monitor pricing, quality, and service standards.
• Provide logistics and purchasing support to project teams and sites.
