Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Buying Team Leader to drive strategic sourcing for new product development. You will own CTB parts, manage supplier selection, negotiate costs, and mitigate risks to keep projects on time and within budget.

You will partner with R&D, engineering, QA and manufacturing, lead RFQ assessments, and optimize lead times, inventory, and logistics for multiple NPI programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in procurement or buying, with NPI experience.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and SAP is preferred.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for NPI projects and manage part lists.
• Coordinate RFQ processes and planning to meet build requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, QA, and manufacturing to align procurement with project needs.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
