Job summary

ZW Packaging Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate demand and supply based on forecasts, production schedules and sales orders; ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing. You will monitor inventory, manage ERP/MRP data, conduct shortage analyses and collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Sales and Logistics to optimize lead times and stock levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in material planning and inventory control.
• Ability to analyze forecasts, schedules and orders to ensure material availability.
• Strong coordination with Purchasing, Production, Sales and Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan raw material requirements based on customer forecasts, production schedules and sales orders.
• Ensure sufficient materials to support production without interruption.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock.
• Prepare material planning reports and shortage analyses.
• Coordinate with suppliers on purchase orders, lead times and deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedites where needed.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service on forecasts and delivery requirements.
• Support production readiness and material allocation.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data and support continuous improvement initiatives.
